Meet the Founder
Raimund "Ray" Welge
Founder & Community Architect
Raimund Welge, known by most simply as Ray, is a passionate entrepreneur, creator, and connector with deep roots in southern Africa.
Both of his parents were born and raised in Africa, and from an early age, Ray spent a large part of his life in the Western Cape and Namibia — places that deeply shaped his identity and values.
Growing up between continents gave him a unique perspective: the freedom and warmth of Africa combined with the drive and creativity of Europe. Those experiences inspired his lifelong belief in community, adventure, and purpose.
After years of building businesses in Europe across the music, events, and tech industries, Ray returned to South Africa with a vision — to unite digital creators, entrepreneurs, and modern nomads who share a love for connection, growth, and giving back.
With CapeCircle, Ray didn't just build a members' club — he created a movement. A place where global minds meet local impact, where business meets meaning, and where people come together to make a difference.
